Jessica Keller

Owner /Director

Jessica is a New Jersey native who started dancing at the age of 3. Ballet has always been her passion. She trained at the Academy of Dance Arts in Red Bank, NJ under Jennifer Church, Sori Gottdenker, Victoria Green, and Charles Nicoll.

Jessica is Royal Academy of Dance trained and passed all exams from Primary to Advanced with Honors. She performed a number of lead roles including, Clara, Lead Marzipan, Snow Queen, and Mouse Doll in the Nutcracker and other lead roles in various performances.

During her studies, Jessica attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. She continued her pre-professional ballet training at the Miami City Ballet School. Her instructors included Edward Villella, Nancy Raffa, Geta Constantinescu, Truman Finny, and Carter Alexander. During her time at the school, she performed most notably as the Lilac Fairy from Sleeping Beauty and Russian Girls from Balanchine’s Serenade. Mrs. Keller danced professionally with Miami City Ballet performing in ballets such as Symphony in C, Western Symphony, Symphony in Three Movements, Don Quixote, Giselle, and The Nutcracker.

Kenneth L. Fowler Jr.

Hip Hop Teacher

Kenny is a Belle Glade Native. He began dancing at the age of 7. Kenny has choreographed for several dance troupes, high school marching bands, modeling shows, drum-lines, and cheerleading competitions. He attended Bethune Cookman College where he studied music and became part of the world famous marching band, “The Marching Wild Cats,” as a drummer. Kenny is now sharing his gift with young kids in WPB as a dance teacher and the creator and director of the new his theatrical show “LOUD”. Kenny has toured the world choreographing and dancing including opening acts for many celebrity artists such as, Mari, Far East Movement, Jason Derulo, Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Shaggy, The Marley Borthers, 50 Cent and Jay Sean.

Bryan Acosta

Jazz / Contemporary Teacher

Bryan grew up in South Florida and started dancing at the age of 13. He graduated from The State University of New York at Buffalo with a degree in Dance. He teaches ages 4 and up in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, jazz funk, hiphop and acrobatics. While attending The State University of NY at Buffalo, Bryan took par on the Bulls’ Cheerleading Team. He cheered at football games and basketball games, while also competing with the team. Their competing team won the title of 2014 National Champions. He has choreographed for the university’s dance team, UB Bulls Dazzlers, as well as for dance performances within the Theater and Dance Department at the university. Bryan has worked with Jenny Laroche, Nick Gonzalez, Vanessa and Stephanie Sanquiz, Todrick Hall, and many more.

Lexi Tejeda

Jazz/Conditioning Teacher

Born and raised in Miami, Alexis was introduced to dance in her early years of elementary school. After training for several years in different dance studios throughout South Florida, and being a member of the NHL florida panthers dance team, she now teaches a variety of classes such as Jazz, Jazz Funk, Latin, Lyrical, Stretch and Technique, Beginner Combo, and Competition Classes as well as Fitness and Conditioning classes. She dreams of teaching her students all of the great things that dance has taught her and has brought to her life. Her goal is to teach her students to grow into wonderful dancers, as she would love to inspire them to pursue the art of dance in their own futures.

Patti Contartesi

Former Owner/ children’s teacher

Patti has been teaching professionally for over 20 years. Before dedicating herself to teaching, she had an extensive career in dance and acting in NYC. Patti brings this experience of stage and screen to her classes. With her love of dance and children, Patti sets the professional tone of pure dance with a true sense of dedication, imagination, understand, and intensity that make teaching children dance a rewarding and satisfying career.

Katelynn Draper

Contemporary, Modern, Ballet Teacher

Katie is an enthusiastic dancer who has dedicated her life to dance and mentoring young dancers. Katie graduated Summa Cum Luade and received her BFA from New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. She has worked alongside and performed repertoire from world renowned choreographers such as Judith Jamison, Kyle Abraham, Peter London, Darshan Bhuller, Rennie Harris, and Robert Battle. She was a lead dancer in Peter London Global Dance Company. She was also a lead dancer, performing and choreographing, in Axam Dance Theatre Experience. She had the incredible honor to study at the school of Jacob’s Pillow in the Contemporary program under the direction of Milton Myers. She has been the recipient of numerous regain and international dance awards including Intrigue’s Young Choreographer’s Award and Christina Aguilera’s Burlesque Dance Contest on MTV. Katie is inspired to be educating the youth on the importance of and active lifestyle through the art of dance.

Risselle Portuondo

Pilates / Lyrical/ Modern Teacher

Risselle began her dance training in WPB, FL at the Academy of Ballet Florida and boasts a history of 21 years of dancing! She graduated from the Boston Conservatory in 2014 and received her BFA in Contemporary Dance. She has performed along with the professional company of Ballet Florida in works that include The Nutcracker by Marie Hale. Throughout the years she has intensively studied Ballet, Modern, Laban Technique, Release Technique, Improvisation, Tap, and Jazz. Risselle recently received her Pilates Certificate and is continuously growing as an instructor!

Sam Rodriguez

Hip Hop Teacher

Sam is a professional dancer as well as choreographer. Her dance training began at the age of 4. She has trained in numerous styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, ballroom, and pointe. She loves dancing and loves to share what she knows with her students. She brings a fun and energetic atmosphere to her classes and rehearsals. Her pieces have won outstanding performance awards in recent competitions.

Alexa Tiller

Acro, Jazz, Contemporary Teacher

Alexa was trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hip, Acro Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical and Modern under the tutelage of German Danger and other professional instructors in South Florida. After eight years of instruction and local performances, she moved to Virginia in 2009. There she expanded her skill set by coaching gymnastic classes as well as instructing dance classes. The county parks and recreation department hired her to start their own dance program which led to opportunities to teach in the local school system. Alexa’s choreography has won many awards.

Ben Slayen

Ballet Teacher

Ben began his dance training at Oregon Ballet Theater and the Portland Ballet in Portland, Oregon. He continued his dance training at The School of American Bellet in NYC and Miami City Ballet School. Ben then went on to dance professionally with Miami City Ballet, Ballet Florida, Alberta Ballet, and Ballet Memphis. He has performed many works all over the world from classical ballet to contemporary performances working with choreographers such as Trey Mcintyre, Vincente Bebrada, Matthew Neenan, and Christopher Wheeldon. Ben has also performed works by George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, and Alonso King.

Kelly Krammer

Tap Teacher

Kelly began her dance career after she graduated from Howard W. Blake High School for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL with a Masters in Dance. Kelly then went to study economics and marketing at FAU. While at FAU she became a professional dancer with the Florida Panthers NHL team. Kelly has been teaching tap for 5 years at studios across Florida. She has continued to study dance at multiple schools including; The Boston Conservatory, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and the Human Rhythm Project. Kelly has won many awards for her choreography at regional and nation competitions and she hopes to continue to inspire young dancers and #BringTapBack!

Stella Palumbo

Children’s Teacher

The founder of Stella's Dancers' Studio, and owner for 35 years, Stella Palumbo is versed in many genres of dance, jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, acrobatics, hip hop and musical theater.

Miss Stella’s students have attended top higher dance education schools like New World School of Performing Arts; High School and College, University of Buffalo, Fordham University Florida State University, Florida Southern College, AMDA and Pacific Northwest Ballet

Her students have also gone on to professional careers, including dancing in the new Broadway Show, Summer, The Merry Widow at the Metropolitan Opera House, TV show “Smash”, Radio City Rockettes, Syncopated Ladies [professional tap company], Disney Tokyo, Walt Disney World, Bush Gardens, MTV, Latin and Grammy music awards, Beyoncé, Pit Bull, Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan Missy Elliot, Yankee Daddy, Jason DeRulo, Lou Bega, Deborah Cox, P. Ditty, Siegfried and Roy, Debbie Allen, Minnesota Dance Theater, performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Super Bowl XXIX, cruise ships, nightclubs, regional and local theater. Many of her students have gone on to be dance educators and studio owners themselves.

Trained by the prestigious Dance Educators of America she has continued her dance education by attending master classes, conventions and studying in New York at the Broadway Dance Center. Stella emphasizes having fun and learning proper technique to instill a positive self-esteem in all her students.
